Good morning friends and I hope you are ready for another Valentine’s Day post. Today is a good one. I’m sharing a simple idea for homemade Valentine’s Day party favors, and 25+ of my friends are sharing their favorite Valentine’s Day projects too (a big thank you to Town and Country Living for hosting!). You’ll find everything from printables to recipes and of course, decor.

Whether you’re hosting a sweet and simple party for the little ones in your life, a romantic dinner for two or simply want to pass out some goodies to your friends on Valentine’s Day, these favors are so simple to make and I think everyone will enjoy them!

These beautiful favors (here) inspired me and I thought they would be perfect for an easy Valentine’s Day treat. Like I mentioned, you could use these as party favors and place them on each place setting if you’re hosting a dinner, or simply pass them out to friends at school, work or after-school activities. Afterall, who doesn’t want a little bit of love on Valentine’s Day? 🙂

These were really so simple to make and took nearly no time at all. I picked up small brown kraft paper bags, ribbon and simple paper hearts at my local craft store and I was all set.

Oh, and of course, you’ll need to think of a sweet treat you can fill them with. I filled mine with these delicious chocolate truffles, but you could also use just about anything. If you want to stick with sweets, candy or homemade Valentine’s Day cookies would be a nice treat. But if you want to avoid more sugar (especially when it comes to the kiddos!) you could fill them with fun little trinkets, like stickers, dress-up jewelry or toy cars. I like to visit our dollar store or the dollar section of our local craft store to stock up on fun items our little one will be able to use.

Once you’ve decided what you’re going to fill your favor bags with, you just have to put them together.

Again, they are so easy, but I found it was fastest to lay out all of my supplies and create kind of an assembly line. First, I added the scalloped edge to all of the bags. I used a craft punch I already owned, but here is a similar option (here). Then fold over the top portion of the bag (before it’s full).

Next, fill each bag with the treats or goodies.

Finally, thread your ribbon through the underside of the middle punch in the scalloped edge, then thread your heart onto the ribbon and tie in a bow. That’s all there is to it and you have these cute favors to pass out on Valentine’s Day!

Now, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to visit my friends below. I’d love to hear what your favorite project is, that is if you can decide on a favorite!
