20 Simple and Fresh Tablescape Ideas For Summer Entertaining

Fresh flowers in soft peach, blush and cream hues paired with a bowl of juicy peaches make an effortless centerpiece for a simple summer gathering.

Life is just peachy, isn’t it? Especially when we gather with family and friends to celebrate the summer season. So as we say goodbye to spring and summer comes into focus we gathered a few of our friends to share simple and inspiring ideas to make your summer entertaining a breeze.

While I was dreaming up this season’s tablescape, I kept coming back to this beautiful shade of peach. It’s soft and subtle but still vibrant enough to feel happy and warm. I popped into my favourite flower shop (if you’re local, this is the best place to buy flowers in town), and chatted with the owner while we pulled these simple flowers in the prettiest hues.

We chose mini carnations in soft shades of peach and blush, apricot-colored roses, creamy white lisianthus, and Queen Anne’s lace and Italian ruscus for greenery. I had so much fun putting together this arrangement, I’m always saying if I had to choose another job I would love to be a florist.

The mini carnations and lisianthus make the arrangement feel dainty and feminine, while the varying heights of flowers let it feel carefree and a little bit wild. And I know it’s a bit unexpected, but I am seriously in love with this colour palette for summer, aren’t you?

I also love using seasonal fruit, along with flowers as an easy centerpiece. And a pretty little pedestal bowl full of juicy peaches was the perfect addition. Plus, the smell of ripe peaches….mmm!

Stemless wine glasses make the perfect vases for leftover carnations and greenery. I added three of these mini arrangements along the table for an extra pop of colour and interest. The more flowers the better, right?

I set the table using my favourite white dishes, wine glasses, and gold flatware. I liked how the gold picked up the warm hues of the flowers and peaches. And I used these striped napkins that I bought at Easter (see them here). They have a blush stripe but paired perfectly with the peach tones too. Summer entertaining should be easy and fuss-free, so I kept our table as simple as I could.

Now, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to visit my friends, there are so many beautiful tables and ideas for summertime dining.
