Timeless Design

The Best of March 2024

March quietly slipped away, filled with the hustle and bustle of spring break for the girls and our final taste of winter weather. While eagerly anticipating the arrival of Easter, we shared 5 Subtle Spring Updates to Refresh Your Home and unveiled our much-anticipated Custom Closet by Stor-X. The installation of our closet in January marked the culmination of our recent projects, and now we’re eagerly looking forward to diving back into DIY mode.

Looking ahead to April, we have two long-awaited projects on our agenda. Firstly, we plan to replace our simple white kitchen counter stools with pieces that feel timeless and full of character. However, instead of purchasing new stools, we’ve decided to take on the challenge of building our own. With Nick’s expertise, we’re eager to bring our envisioned style to life and add more character to our kitchen. Secondly, our neglected laundry room, a space that has sat in disarray for the past two years, is finally getting the attention it deserves. As a daily hub of activity, it’s about time we transformed it into a functional and organized area with lots of storage and a designated laundry zone.

As we eagerly dive into these projects, we’ve been scouring Pinterest and Instagram to offer inspiration. Balancing charm with practicality is our goal, ensuring that each space not only looks beautiful but also serves its purpose effectively. With the promise of warmer days ahead, we’re excited to roll up our sleeves and continue adding character and charm to our home one room at a time.

We will share more on these projects in the coming weeks, with special behind-the-scenes sneak peeks in our newsletter (signup here) and on Instagram. We can’t wait to take you along on these projects with us!

1. Petite Lamp – Brighten up your kitchen with this charming miniature lamp, adding a cozy touch to your home’s busiest space.

2. Wood Swan – While renovating our cottage, I incorporated a few vintage ducks as a quirky touch and a nod to our surroundings. This wooden swan has a similar look and is sure to bring character to any room.

3. Gingham Tablecloth – Get ready for spring gatherings with this classic gingham tablecloth, in a spring-inspired hue.

4. Striped Duvet – Enjoy cozy nights with this timeless striped duvet, it also comes in a dreamy shade of green.

5. Patterned Napkins – Add personality to your table with these patterned napkins, perfect for pairing with a gingham tablecloth.

6. Wooden Scallop Bowl – The scalloped detail on this artisanal bowl makes this piece perfect for showcasing seasonal fruit or adding a quaint touch to your kitchen shelf.

7. Vintage Art Print – Transport your kitchen to another era with this charming vintage art print, the peaches are a sweet nod to the coming seasons!

8. Washable Rug – This timeless rug, inspired by vintage aesthetics, blends hues of blues, gold and creams with artistic motifs, adding a touch of nostalgia to any space.

9. Counter Stool – I’ve been studying different counter stool styles and designs as we plan to build our own next month, but I came across these, blending classic design with modern appeal, that I just had to share.

10. Dinner Bell – This month we added a bit of tradition to our home with this dinner bell. It adds a fun and nostalgic touch to every mealtime. I’m convinced every home needs a dinner bell now!
